Riding the Trades Copyright
By submitting your story to the Riding the Trades project:- You and any co-authors retain the copyright of your own materials and are free to publish them elsewhere.
- You grant Island Culture Archival Support the right in perpetuity to publish the work on our Web site located at http://www.islandarchives.org/ in accordance with our Terms and Conditions of use, and to use it in marketing material.
- You grant permission for your material to be edited for publication on our Web site according to our Terms and Conditions.
- You warrant that your submitted story is your own original work, or you have written permission from a third party owner to use any other material and that you have the right to submit the story for publication in accordance with our Terms and Conditions of use.
- You indemnify Riding the Trades against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may occur because of a breach of the above warranty. This means that you have given Island Culture Archival Support rights to publish your story on its Web site and that any audio and visuals attachments accompanying your story from other sources will have written permission to use the material. If these rights were not obtained, you will be held responsible for all costs.
- You agree that Riding the Trades shall be responsible for any third party infringement of your rights in the work or copyright that may result from its publication on our Web site, or its use in marketing material if users do not comply with our Terms and Conditions.
